Thankful Hearts
It is hard to believe that Thanksgiving has already come and gone. It seemed to come upon us out of nowhere. But, what a blessing it is each year to kick off the official holiday season by pausing to count our numerous and bounteous blessings. We truly are so very blessed in so many areas of our lives.
Family is certainly at the top of our list of blessings to count. I wish that we could all have been together, but since that is not possible, it is nice to at least have this blog to bring us closer this holiday and get us thinking about each other. We love each of you!
Joanna, Cory and Gabe joined us for the weekend. We ate, visited, shopped and visited with extended family. And enjoyed little Gabe! We skipped the pre-dawn shopping this year (after staying up until 11:30 PM planning it), but did head out on a few shopping trips that day.
We had a nice dinner out at Mama and Papa Rhien's home on Thanksgiving. It was fun for Joanna to visit with her cousin, Rachel, and her little family. They are just a couple of weeks different in age and have always been fairly close. Rachel and Justin live back in Farmington now, which is lots of fun. There weren't as many of us at dinner as there often have been in past years, but we had a nice time with those that were there.
Joanna and Cory left on Sunday to head home and I came down with the stomach flu or something on Monday morning. Ugh! But, I am feeling better now, for the most part. We are in the midst of our holiday decorating and I will post some pictures of some of that once it is done. In the meantime, here are a few pictures from our Thanksgiving.
Relax and listen to some Christmas tunes and enjoy the season!
Love, Earlene, Scott and Julia

Thanks for posting pictures. Always fun to see...
It's good to hear from you. It's too bad you've been sick.
We love you-

Gee....Cory sure doesn't look thrilled to be at dinner with me....
But we had a great time in Farmington - now if we could just come up with some way to make that drive more bearable....
